The single women notice it the most and quiet quickly the difference in the internet dating profiles for single men who are looking for love online. All of a sudden your 45th birthday hits and your age rolls over from being 44 years old to now being 45 years old and suddenly your peer aged midlife men online all seem to be looking only for younger women.
Alternatively, the midlife men view profiles of midlife women who use casual photos and don't make much of an effort in their profiles to attract a man's quality attention.
